Post Experience Project edition

A few years ago on the Mark 1 version of That Traditional Schoolboy I posted a few things around trends which I felt strongly about.

The right to be addressed as him/he/himself and all other masculine pronouns

The right to have his gender affirmed, being referred to unambiguously as a Boy

The right to single gender spaces

The right to wear shorts, longs or a kilt at school and at work.

The right to adult Male input throughout his life including spending time just with men and other boys in male only activities together to help him grow.

The right not to be discriminated against in any programs and employment opportunities, being assessed purely on his abilities compared to others for the task and nothing else.

Although that Tumblr went and it is unlikely in current conditions anything so forthright could return two years and four months on I still very much feel the same.

Outdoor math lesson by the very kind of man most of us would look up to in flash as boys.

“For boys”  is an electric sign we need to be prepared to stand up for because whatever certain usually pre-feminist people say, Boys ARE are Gender distinct from Girls which while individual variations exist, we graduate toward similar hobbies, interests and like the company of fellow males.

To me it is sad that we seem to be going backwards in this regard.

When I was growing up in the 70’s, the goal was to achieve a society in which a male or a female might do or become anything they wanted, without their sexual identity being questioned. Boys could play with dolls, girls could climb trees, anyone could wear anything they wanted or do anything they wanted, without it impacting what we now call “gender.” It was a great goal.

If you want to get a feel for what that movement was about, listen to Marlo Thomas’ , Free to Be You and Me, a famous series of songs recorded to help introduce children to this concept. Boys can cry, girls can compete in races…nothing you say or do changes what you inherently are.

Our conversation about gender appears to have taken a step backwards. Once more we are talking about ‘male’ and ‘female’ behaviours, and suggesting that if one gender does something associated with the other gender, the gender must be wrong. Once more we are creating boxes to define and contain gender identity, and if you step outside the box, it is deemed a denial of that identity.

Some men like to wear women’s clothing. Some girls disdain traditional “feminine” activities. The first group are still men, and the second still girls. We do them a terrible disservice when we read deeper things into that. Not every pair of high heels on a guy is a cry for help.

A trans man feels like he has always been a male, just in a female body. He has always felt like a male, regardless of what he wears. A trans woman has always felt female. Sometimes this manifests in traditional activities, and certainly clothing is used to help present the correct gender, but at its core it is a deeper, more fundamental issue than what toys one plays with or what clothes one is wearing.

I did have a love of flowers and some collectable porcelain dolls of various girls which in that era wasn't very cool to admit to other boys which was a shame but that didn't mean I had a deep seated need to change my sex because I was happy to be a boy and to be a male.

In all other respects as was as rough and tough if not tougher than my peers and having fought attempts to see me as anything other than the boy I am I do feel strongly this message that is getting muddled up by transgender activists needs to be said.

It is personal and no, I won't shut up about it cos it's harming boys who may be as I was a little different from getting on with being the boys they are.

Be you, not a label

Recently I was reading a post by a person who was born as and had seen herself as a female but had started to think she wasn't really all that feminine and might be non-binary but then started to say they didn't identify with the they/them pronouns but felt she needed something to indicate difference.

The first thing is what she is talking about isn't actually sex and how that affects you biologically, she did say she had no issues with her body, but really more about gender the roles and the way people relate to you socially.

Gender as I understand it, is very much a social construct albeit one that is linked in to sex ultimately and how and what is seen as stereotypical and usually such accepted behaviours does vary over time.

You can have some traits that may be more associated with one sex without that meaning you identify as the other sex in which instance the thing you are looking at is more acceptance of difference so you have no real need to announce any change of gender or plan on changing the appearance of your body.

My own experiences lead me to feel we put too much emphasis on looking at defining to the nth degree gender traits to mark up the least differences from the normal forgetting within all of that exists personal variation.

Instead more time could be spent on celebrating what makes us ourselves within our sex and the variety within our gender such as it is.

Don't fear your shadow, be confident in it knowing you are being the male or female you are however you show that.

A new balance in the post Covid order?

The shape of the post Covid-19 World is one that a number of people are talking about as in England, United Kingdom we are easing the lockdown and some of the tensions between science and political concerns are beginning to show.

One revolves very much around Women in the workplace which has been increasing since the 1970's aided by a combination of protection of employment while pregnant, reductions in the age of state schooling, the adding of both pre and post school clubs and funded nurseries for four year olds.

This then was topped up with older grandparents providing emergency cover and school holidays.

All of this is strongly affected by the virus with grandparents being instructed not look after children under ten due to higher risk and the likelihood of children being significant asymptomatic carriers.

Government and opposition for matter want schools reopened at least in part to enable working parents usually mothers to return but with a social distance of 2 metres to be maintained between in child, the resultant class sizes are at least a half and UK classrooms are fairly cramped.

What this means is you need to double the space and teaching staff to teach in a way that is safe if you are to reopen five days a week per child, per class, per school.

This needless to say isn't possible so some are having rotas that at rising 5's thru 11 equate to two days a week per group per class with additional work being set for home usually using the internet although that itself brings issues with connections and hardwear availability for a significant number of children.

The pre and after school clubs are off excepting certain "key worker children".

It hasn't dawned upon people that actually a good proportion of women will be unable to return because what made it possible isn't likly to change until a year at the very least when the crisis is actually under control.

Thus the gender balance will tilt as in the main it is then easier for men to return or take up a work placement because they do need the additional measures deemed socially necessary and of necessity those left out will need to relearn how to support children and be more mothers by what they do rather than having them for free time and relying on others to take that up.

It may be that women create anew roles and functions that are not about careers but about contributions, helping run community groups even running as until under New Labour under fives play groups rather than semi academic  nurseries with curriculums  that often cost more than £150 per week per child and to which there is little evidence children that age need academic education rather than socialization and play, parents teaching children to read themselves.

Personally I feel the experiment with artificially equalizing has been shown to be unsustainable.

Cutting loose

Sometimes this blog has entries that are more stream of whatever is on my mind and on other occasions it can be more of a planned piece based certain themes I'd done some research and carefully thought through.
This week I've been dealing with things from the past that required me to make some clear cut decisions over because the 'malaise' I had been suffering from for a number of years had left some unresolved issues.

One was I had at one point been pushed toward more feminine gender expression by people who believed some of my rootlessness was routed having some interests that were more common in females and encouraged me to be more feminine.

That had included having a notebook that went back several years where I was to document all of this but in the last two years I had began to realize this wasn't really helping because I never had a desire to be female being quite happy being a male and in doing so actually by taking me away from what I was more comfortable with, it was leaving me more in gender limbo.

Far from being misassigned at birth to use the current trans phrase upon coming out of the womb I had been sexed correctly for the penis and testicles I entered the world with.

Whenever I was called a he, a him a boy, a male or man I was not being misgendered, I was being  sexed correctly by society because I wasn't born in the wrong body as some had tried to get me to accept but born already in my true body and they were affirming it.

Sometimes you may wonder if it's more like making a whole new persona to have a restart when you can only change the external appearance within limits and not really the biology or true sex.

The period I spent in specifically ASB/ASG regression back in a all male gender group had enabled me to strip back a lot of those false assumptions as I explored more of my past  and moreover had shown I was increasingly more confident just being a masculine boy even with the odd different interest accepting the rough and tumble world of masculine boys.

I had parked it for quite a period, not knowing really what to do with it but after several months where I'd only glimpsed at it once a month and after talking with Edward about how I had been feeling not least how I felt seeing such content, I decided to ditch it completely.

From around the same era  I had an account at a music forum which under the same influence had a more feminine feel to it either though technically it was gender neutral on that tick box that was troubling me to the point I was reluctant to post  often on it because I felt that person wasn't really me.

I decided to give it a male makeover starting by marking myself down as a male once and for all, changing the obviously girlie avatar for that of a boy, putting "Just A Boy" in the custom title box and re-writing the about bit to make an oblique reference to living in ALB/ASG life with a picture of boys playing with Meccano.

In the week that I have been wearing sports tops and shorts out looking every inch the boy I am and obviously male, I decided to honour my gender by ditching something it simply wasn't and openly acknowledging on one account what I am.

Regendering therapy for me is the best thing that has happened, reconnecting my feelings, emotions and sense of self to my innate masculinity that has room for my needs.

I am no longer prepared to deny, hide or draw a veil over my real gender  but will assert it from now on.

Letting off steam

The week did not get off to the best of starts as the secondary Tumblr inexplicably got nuked even though content wise it was very safe for work, being just about past boyhood, age regression and wearing school clothing with not one mention of spanking, anything sexual or kink related.

Similarly Charlie had his Growing Up In Lederhosen tumblr nuked to when all that was old pictures of boys in lederhosen not unlike a postcard album or scrapbook again totally sfw and non sexual and yet real hard core porn is accepted?

Neither of us had a message to say we'd been 'terminated' and why.

Makes me question what Tumblrs real values are.

Anyway I do have something to say about gender and blow it I'm just darn well saying it.

Although I am very much on a more traditional masculine side and do genuinely believe for the the majority of boys this is very much the right path for them I do have time for that minority who find in terms of their gender identity, presentation and roles they need to transition to being a girl and a woman so long as it isn't done in such a way as to deny the majority of us our identity as males.

One thing I will just come out and say is this the kind of boyhood some of us knew however as individuals we may of expressed it seems under attack from people who don't feel boyhood and masculinity exist and to the extent they are acknowledged even it is totally negative.

One side effect of this has been the encouragement of overtly feminine forms of gender expression, identity and social behaviour and discouragement of anything that smells of maleness for boys.

I do intensely dislike the attempt at pushing sissiness, a subculture of Female Supremacists and  willing males who were not unlike transexuals feeling they were 'female' and wanted to be seen as such 24/7 but wanting to be a parody of  the most soppy uber feminine female dressed in super frilly dresses revealing in deep humiliation.

They wanted to live in a world where ordinary males such as myself would be demasculinized, denied our place in the world where boys would be forced in to being gurls dressed like but treated as inferior to girls.

They are nothing to do with "Transgender" at all, just kinky gender humiliation.

I despise their simpering mincing effeminate ways.

The self hatred of their actual male selves was incredible for this was unlike people who just cross-dress as an act enjoying that moment as their alter ego but happy to revert to their male sides that I cannot help but be concerned as to why they feel this way and if it isn't part of the damage modern feminism has caused to males as having rightly fought for equal opportunities, pay and family planning, attacking the male side role, identity and social position and in effect degendering men has left some at risk of self hatred.

I believe in me

Sometimes however long it all comes together.

I was so frightened
I almost ran away
I didn't know that I could do
Anything I needed to
And then a bolt of lightning
Hit me on my head
Then I began to see
I just needed to believe in me

Now I, I believe in me
And I, I believe in something more
Than you can understand
Yes, I believe in me

They said I didn't stand a chance
i wouldn't win no way
But I've got news for you
There's nothing I can't do
Ain't no pretending
Ain't no make believe
But I've got to be the one
I gotta do what must be done

I believe in me
Yes, I believe in me - yeah

I don't need no money
I don't need no fame... No
I just need to believe in me
And I know most definitely
Don't need to get wasted
It only holds me down
I just need a will of my own
And the balls to stand alone

The lyrics to the Kiss song "I" from their much maligned "Music from The Elder" album always had a resonance with me and of late certainly during the period of this blogs evolution more so.
In the time since I started this blog and started to spend more time engaging directly with the adult school boy community I have started to  regain my confidence from the last time I had anything to being a school boy and having had gender related issues being able to take my place alongside them as one.
I have learned to stand up for myself in front them as a boy with no ifs, buts or maybes connecting directly to their own boyishness.
I have found the balls to be myself, to assert my masculinity, feeling it running through my body taking a pride in it and my male physique.

The ASB Edition

I decided to join a site specifically for Adult Schoolboys called Adult School Boys this month because I think just being with other adult schoolboys will actually help me reclaim chunks some people tried to deny in me just because I wasn't 100% straight as a die male and wanted to claim me for their own side.
Fact is you don't have dig deep under the surface in me to find my masculine side even if would benefit from a little tuition and learning to assert it self more because it is dominate in me

One thing about this regressed adult schoolboy thing is it picks up from how things were and an important standard is all the 'boys' wear white junior briefs with a Y front fly which I haven't worn in years.
I just decided to conform to my gender norms, buy and put myself back in what boys ARE supposed to wear without question, starting as I need to go on relearning and recovering what I need from now on. There is the fact my regression past has always been from a schoolboy setting even when I first started going back in time in my mid teens, I didn't jump gender, I just acted on my gender norms and feelings but from a boyish angle being every inch a schoolboy of ten in his short trousers.
I'd never even consider changing my sex to line up with anything else as whatever issues some in society may have with my gender expression, I love being a boy and love people who know and call me what I am: A Boy.
Joining ASB just makes a lot of sense of you're a adult school boy which I am.

Being different but very much a boy

I get tired of people who confuse my sex with my gender as person who is not totally masculine when it comes to gender roles because while there are a handful of traits closer to the feminine my major gender markers are masculine which showed at an early age in my play with war toys, realistic soldier dolls and cars.

I played games with cap guns pretending to shoot people dead and accepted being shot dead and being taken prisoner in rough games loving it.
I owned for a long time Action Man figures playing imaginary war games with them sometimes on my own and sometimes with other boys, buying tons of accessories.
They were my main toy by choice, a clear indication of my boyhood masculinity

Similarly I badgered my mummy to buy me this war comic every week reading it cover to cover intently which if I was a 'softie' I'd never of done.

I enjoy wearing a traditional boys outfit with shorts and long socks as much as I do appreciate the fact I can wear a kilt because I am unquestionably a boy  and a real boy at that not in any way effeminate or a wuss.

Equally I may chose to play from a variety of either girlish or boyish hobbies and interests as I best relate to any and actually in somethings I'm more boyish than a good number.

The thing is that has no bearing on my biological sex which is without a doubt male and doesn't indicate I have an issue with being or being seen as one preferring to be addressed as a boy at all times.

I am proud to be a boy even if I have had difficulties in reconciling how others see me and that sense of being a male and strongly object to people such as sissies who only see me as like them pansy effeminate weaklings who enjoy being 'forced' into being feminine.

There is nothing at all weak about being me whatsoever.

School and boys

Around the early 1970's you tended to see a higher proportion of women teachers in school particulary Primary although when it came to Headship, Headmasters and deputies still were mainly male perhaps because of the assumption women couldn't "own" the same respect as men.

I first had a female Headmistress in my last years in high school which it had to be said felt very much a different experience not that I'm suggesting in any respect she wasn't up to it as on reflection she was excellent.

I think the problem area is when a high proportion of teaching staff are female boys feel their is no one who knows and understands what being a boy is like, what makes them "tick" and so acting up and the like increases apart from those boys who don't have good male role models at home being at risk of going down the wrong path.

Introduction

I'm fairly new to blogging as with the exception of a very brief period on that British site now long gone, Friends Reunited that launched a blogging platform with in it, then that's it and I never really got on with specialist niche sites for a variety of reasons.
This blog is intended to fill the gaps between the regular also new blog as this deals more with things around my gender issues, emotions and spanking within a regressed adult schoolboy context although I won't be majoring on that as I take the view that having explained something, then unless there's a development in it, then that's all I have to say on the topic.
The comic world mirrored ours: 'Boys will be boys' and 'Dads will be dads' so they step in and spank us when we're out of hand.
