Wet day stuff

Between the rainshowers on Monday I was backing up some files, let's say a lot of files going back to the mid 2000's some captured from the earliest internet connected computer I had and some of pictures I'd taken either on fim and scanned or direct to digital.

Part of that was having one memory stick starting to have corruption issues not perhaps being helped by the top being loose  and the connector also being a loose fit and another being aware of how many years the stick was, the last thing you want is to lose your favourite pictures and memories just cos it wasn't so convienent at the time.

So I was transferring them a bunch at at time by hand checking the process was going well while there was a torrential downpour.

I read the weeks Beano and Pheonix comics and Match of the Day magazine that had arrived at the weekend and ended the day listening the the Proms concert on Radio Three until bedtime.

Sleep

To me one of big changes of our time has been how bedrooms, literally a room with a bed in it you may of kept the odd thing in like books and toys has morphed a entertainment and games room to the point we sleep with phones on lest we miss a call or lie in our beds with our iPads, Chromebooks and laptops as if rest and sleep are now wrapped into permanently on lifestyle.

Being sent to your room worked as a threat in part cos you'd miss out everything the rest of the home or school was doing because you were removed

This boy one presumes a model, clearly loves gaming to the point he has the poster like I have a Guardians of the Galaxy comic poster in my bedroom but when in bed with his dog snuggled up to him is no doubt playing!

It's like you can't just enjoy being in bed snuggled up to your dog finding comfort in such close physical contact.

If it wasn't for my own self control I'd have to be honest and say  I could soon end up losing rest and sleep even to online life which is why actual kids and adult little boys need rules around this so we do what we need to rather than losing that time with the mental and physical energy loss.

Progress

As Monday saw us enter July, as is my usual want I marked Canada Day (what I was brought up as "Dominion Day") with friends talking away and listening to things.
Things have been going fairly well here where I have worked on my Wordpress Blog versions of my Tumblrs where around late last year and in the first few days of this, They were imported, a fancy term for being copied over as is, from Tumblr to Wordpress using a software tool because of problem of posts being removed and the still real issue of accounts just being terminated at random with no prior warning.
One problem with the importer is it seemed to lose reblogged images and also somehow to have corrupted the database which in simple terms means if wish to edit the post, perhaps captioning it which is usual on a traditional blogging structure you can't cos while it is showing you can't open it up.
This meant spending some time tidying some entries up adding by hand the missing images and where possible remaking posts that couldn't be edited and if a post couldn't be tided up and wasn't necessary as perhaps I had talked about it before, deleting it.
As I mentioned on Friday on the main blog, I now have a Chromebook which is made by Asus for Junior/Prep School boys (and girls) which starts up like lightning and by making it synchronize bookmarks and passwords means no faffing about managing them on two or more machines.
One of the accounts predates my original Tumblr and certain aspects of it reflected the mired world I was in at the time so I remade parts of it such as changing the account avatar from a generic anime image to that of a real boy, using real initials, marking myself down as Male rather than 'rather not tell' and name for the user ID and changing the wallpaper to something more Masculine.
This is matching the changes I made at the music forum where increasingly my posts are become more obviously male having come out as 'male' there too and increasingly I am bonding more and more with men.
One indication of which is I contributed to a off topic thread about growing beards which is something I'd never of done in recent past and where the original poster made reference to wishing to show more of his masculinity by such acts which would indicate in some respects I'm not alone.
The difference in this is for me in that time I was with ASB and joined Tumblr I have learned to embrace my maleness and to increasingly feel confident in asserting my innate masculinity which while I'm shaven I do keep my natural body hair intact and visible and am increasing acting on my masculine instincts.

The weekend report

It's been an odd kind of a week with England's team in the Women's World Cup through to the quarter finals after yesterday's match with Cameroon which was more noted by that teams lack of discipline on the pitch than our teams focus and 3-0 win.
The women's game isn't my thing as with most things feminine it has nothing to offer me as I was always more interested in school footie and the men's game throughout my boyhood, watching MOTD, sunday afternoon matches with my Gran and rushing back from fairs in time for F.A. Cup Finals and the like but I wish them well.
The rebooted music forum account given the male oblique adult little boy referencing make over is working out well with an acceptance for my little side shown in the avatar and by having my gender openly affirmed and acknowledged apart from being spoken to as a male by all the men.
I also decided to reset a google account to give proper acknowledgement of my gender as that too had be neutered around the same time.
I went out with Dad and Mum in my uniform so their I was with tie, grey shorts and long socks on celebrating his birthday as his boy, having a celebratory meal together in public totally accepted in this community as the adult little boy I am.
And as more will be mentioned on the other blog I'm getting my very own small computer which was designed very much for schoolboys and girls so it looks after itself with keys better aligned to help us type.
